Best Time to Visit Venezuela
The best time to visit Venezuela and all that it has to offer...
Venezuela (meaning ‘Little Venice’ in Spanish) is a relatively unthought-of of destination when it comes to Latin America, and is often overlooked. However the beauty and variation of this destination is absolutely incredible. One day
you may be relaxing on a (very) long stretch of Caribbean coastline or a small sandy island getting up only to windsurf or kitesurf, the next you could be exploring the wildlife-rich Amazon or witnessing the world’s highest waterfall, only to go out and salsa all night long! Visit the unique flat topped mountain ‘Tepuis’, explore the main city of Caracas. This is a destination for those seeking adventure, culture and relaxation all in the one place, catering for all tastes, capturing you with its beauty. Here are festivals to visit, markets to barter at and wildlife to be discovered, topped off with some very welcoming locals, so when is best to go…
Climate: With so many geographical variations and therefore micro-climates, Venezuela’s weather is hard to pin down. The climate is tropical, so wet and dry rather than hot and cold. In general, October to April is the drier season and June to September the wetter, although we wouldn’t recommend against travel at this time as there is plenty of sun and the rain falls only in bursts, plus the waterfalls are most full and the vegetation most lush.
Venezuela’s Caribbean coastline and the Los Roques archipelago are generally not affected by the hurricane belt, so can be visited year-round.
