A trip here is all about the natural world in all its many guises. The vast Orinoco and Amazon Rivers, the world’s tallest waterfall, and surely some of the best beaches there are. Sweeping savannas dominated by table-top mountains and, throughout, staggering biodiversity, both above and below the water.
In a trip of just ten days or two weeks, you’ll be herding cattle with cowboys, floating past caiman in a dugout canoe, or hiking among towering table-top mountains. After all that, you’ll be looking for a spot in the shade of a palm alongside the Caribbean Sea, and Venezuela provides that in spades too.
What to expect from your Venezuela Holiday: One of South America’s less visited countries, Venezuela’s tourist infrastructure is unsophisticated but perfectly adequate. Accommodation tends to be in simple, functional lodges and posadas which are clean, comfortable and appropriate to their surroundings, but not too luxurious.
